History Of CABC

This year, Tashkent International School is hosting the 12th Annual Central Asian Basketball Classic. It's going to be the 7th time TIS is hosting this tournament.

Previous Champions:

Michael Galligan

Mr. Michael Galligan was the initiator of the Central Asian Basketball Classic in 2003. At that time he was the Athletic Director of Tashkent International School. He introduced the idea of having fun and playing together between the international schools.

Currently he is working in PTIS International School (Thailand).

Arif Akhundov

Arif Akhundov was one of the creators of Central Asian Basketball Classic in 2003. At that time he was a PE Teacher in TISA (The International School of Azerbaijan), and was the first supporter of Michael Galligan's idea.

Currently he is working in TIS (Tashkent International School) - Current Host of the Central Asian Basketball Clasic 2014.
